Style 5 is Art & Crafts/Mission inspired featuring thicker material for the legs which gives a more substantial appearance, a lower side rail, and a crest rail that spans within the rear legs. Choose from three different types of material: quarter sawn white oak, red oak, and soft maple.

I bought two of these in quartersawn white oak for a white oak table I made and keep at work. The chairs are so comfortable that when a co-worker first sat in them, she smiled and said it felt like a hug. The other comment I received was how heavy they are, which I always take as a compliment. Solid white oak is dense and heavy no matter what, but quartersawn is next level. The chairs were a joy to put together, even if I did curse a few times during the glue-up process. The final result is beautiful. Great job, Matt. I’ll be buying more of this style in the future.
