Curly Maple and Walnut Box

I purchased a locket and gem for my wife.  The locket will hold a picture of our son and the ruby signifies his birth month.  I, of course, had to make something a little nicer to hold the jewelry so I came up with this simple box.  The body is made from curly silver maple, the bottom and corner details are made from black walnut, and the top is made from claro walnut.

  1. Matt, can you post the other dimensions of the sides,bottom and top? When you cut out the outside corners of the box did you use a straight but and just made a cut that way?

    1. Sides: 3 11/16″ x 1 5/16″; Bottom: 3 11/16″ square; Top: 3 15/16″ square. The corners were cut with a straight bit (I used a 1/2″ spiral bit) 1/16″ square
