Crib by Brandon
Cherry crib that’s convertible to a full bed and the mattress is adjustable up and down. The finish is just shellac, lacquer, and a glaze treatment. The wife liked the name Anna Rose so I thought I’d give inlay a try, a first for me. The inlayed rose was from a picture of a cake fondant rose (because it happened to be a nice picture). The inlayed woods are curly maple for the pedals and poplar for the leaves and stem. Sand shading was used on the inlayed pieces.
Pink Bench by Greg
This is a Jay Bates design. The bench was built from construction grade 2 x 4 s. I used construction screws for fasteners instead of pocket hole screws. I countersunk all the screw holes. Then put wood plugs to fill all the screw holes. This bench was birthday bench for my for my Mom. Since then I build 2nd bench for ourselves.
Sleigh Restoration by Jimmy
I’m 17 years old and recently transferred into a trade school for my junior year in high school to learn more about using power tools safely. when i was about 15 i would buy old hand tools and restore them to working condition and i still do today. Ive also learned a lot by watching your videos on youtube. after about 4 months into junior year i was presented with a project for the town of Norwell MA they had a 100+ year old sleigh they wanted the school to fix. My shop teachers were originally going to scrap the project and throw it away until I came in and they noticed how passionate i was about woodworking so i started in on a 6 month restoration drawing all my own plans. I carved all the runners out of red oak and using mostly hand tools scrapers, spoke shaves, etc. I used all the original metal and help from the auto body shop to paint the metal. I finished the project about a weak before school got out for the summer.

Hey Matt, I got the same shirt from April……… I wore it at work and while touching the left side of my chest I would tell people “I feel a little saw right here” everyone ( except the one guy that got it, he just rolled his eyes and shook his head ) told me it was probably a pulled muscle.
hahaha!!
Hey Matt! According to this week’s Woodtalk, the meetup on Thursday night is actually at Christian Moerlein Brewing Company (not the Lager House). I’m gonna head to the Brewing Company and hope to see you there! Or I’ll just have a drink by myself at the bar if Marc was wrong.
This has been the most confusing location thing ever
