Slab Coffee Table by Dave

This is an American Black Walnut slab coffee table. The legs are red oak assembled with dowel-reinforced rabbet joints.  I have a baby on the way so made sure all the edges were very round and soft. The table top is finished with natural danish oil and minwax satin polyurethane.

Patio Table by Randy

This is a patio table I made using cherry for the frame and walnut for the top and splines.  It features a three-way lap joint, and a nine-sided top.  It is 28″ tall and the legs are angled at 7 degrees.  The frame is joined with hand-cut mortise and tenon joinery, and the Celtic weave was also cut by hand and inlaid using epoxy.

Mid Centruy Modern Coffee Table

A few months ago a local church was getting rid of some church pews to make room for chairs. I grabbed a few before they were thrown away. After a few months of them sitting behind my shop i finally decided to make a coffee table out of one of the bases.

Midcentury Modern Side Table by Russell

This midcentury modern side table is my own design.  I tried to make the piece with as much all-wood joinery as possible, which led me down several rabbit holes.  It includes full-blind mitered dovetails on the casework, sliding dovetails on the interior, half-blind dovetails on the drawer fronts, and a weird sliding dovetail to attach the base to the cabinet.   The piece is finished with a complex process of heated boiled linseed oil rubbed in while still hot several times over several days, topcoat with innumerable layers of Minwax wipe-on poly.  I made it for my son, Fox, who was born May 30th this year.
