Essential Oils Cabinet by Jim

The back ship lapped panels are maple as well as the secondary material for the drawer.  The finish is BLO and bees wax, and then a coat of furniture wax.  It took a long time to build as there is a lot of hand cut joinery in it that I have never tried before.  All the shelves are in Housing Dados (blind dados) and I still need more practice at the dove tails I used for the drawer box.  Very little sanding on this one, I opted for using the smoothing plane and card scraper.  The hardware is from Richelieu.

Ping Pong Paddle by Graeme

I’m a 16 year self tough woodworker from Minnesota Saint Paul. I’ve only been woodworking for a few months now but I love it.  I was lucky enough to be able to take over my basement and turn it into my own shop. Over the part few months I’ve gathered a good amount of tools. Table saw, small planer and I just recently bought my first bandsaw.
Here is the first ever ping pong paddle I’ve made. It’s made out of old pallet wood that I cleaned up and walnut.

Chainsaw Mill by Craig

Your chainsaw milling videos have inspired me to make my own Alaskan chainsaw mill.  With the crappy CAD-USD exchange rate these days, I was able to built it for less than a quarter of the price (I live in Ontario btw).  It’s built with all mild steel and TIG welded together.

In the pictures you’ll see me using my little MS 260 on a small black cherry tree.  This was just a test, I have access to a MS 440 from work.  I work at a golf course with 400 acres of property, so there is an abundance of dead standing hardwoods (white oak, red oak, ash, hard maple, soft maple, and a little cherry).  Unfortunately, we don’t have any black walnut!

Vanity by Adrian

This is made out kauri.  Was a bowl blank.  Made it for my daughter birth day.
