Lindsay made me an awesome beverage tote for Father’s Day. It has through dovetails, sliding dovetails, and mortise and tenon joints. She also paid special attention to the grain flow. We also continued working on the flooring. The tongue and groove joints were cut over the weekend and the only step left is to create the relief cuts on the bottom of the boards. On the changing table, I completed the case construction, glued it up, and applied a finish to it. I just finished up dovetailing one of the drawers. Last Wednesday, I got to tour the Northfield Woodworking Machinery factory. That was an awesome experience. They have a lot of awesome machinery there that allows them to create some really amazing woodworking machines.

What do the relief cuts on the bottom of the floorboards do Mat?
They just make it so there is less contact surface with the subfloor. Just in case there anything goofy going on.
