This week I got started on the joinery for the handtool cabinet. The main cabinet and doors will be joined with through mitered dovetails.

Log Trailer by Matt

14’ trailer with 6 or 7k axles with the Harbor Freight 12’000 lb winch.
I wanted my winch to be easily removable so I made a “hook & catch” mounting system. Hopefully it’s strong enough!
The yellow parts are the additions. The trailer is now fully black.

Walnut Table by David

Little back story, I built the top first and commissioned a welder to make me some legs, well my design didn’t turn out so well in the end and the legs looks terrible and had a really bad wobble when mounted. Almost like a tuning fork.

So i ditched them ($450 down the drain) and made the trestle type base. And a bench with a similar design.

All the wood except the table top was wood I milled 2 years ago. I used the same grain wrap technique on the table top as I did in the last video I sent you.

The top was fastened down with Rampa inserts ( I LOVE THEM! ) and I sprayed it all with a conversion varnish.

The beam for the table base and bench base are connected using the festool domino connectors so they can be torn down and moved, i was really impressed with them!

Ill include some photos showing how the legs are a solid piece (2 pieces laminated) and the vertical beams slide on to them. As well as splines added just in case in a 30 years the glue failed they would prevent racking. I used my festool domino to cut the mortises and squared them off with a chisel.

Ring Box by Fred

I recently finished this “Ring Box” that I made for my wife for our 10th wedding Anniversary. (And yes, I had a ring to put in it lol!) Its made of a piece of red oak that I got from a pallet and included my very first inlay made from some scrap purple heart I had from another project.

Pedalboard Case by Alex

A pedalboard case made from Tasmanian Myrtle that holds all my guitar accessories. The case comes apart using case latches. The bottom side of the case remains on the floor as I play guitar while the top side carries all my leads and music books.
