Matt’s Weekly Shop Update – Jan 4, 2016

In the shop this week, I’ve made a lot of progress on the sofa table.  I finished up the divider joinery, permanently attached all the breadboards, cut all the curves, and started working on the top.

  2. Matt,

Looking good! Charlie mentioned he had interviewed you. Small MN world. Congratulations on being on Wood talk. How long did the walnut dry? and is it air dried only?

Oh yeah what angle are you sharpening your blades for working on your hardwoods?

    1. Word travels quickly around here. Thank you! It was cut in Nov 2014 and was dry in March 2015. It was air dried in my basement down to 8% and has just been sitting in my pile since. I have no idea what the angle is. I pretty much just stick with the angle that came ground on the tool when I bought it.
